Day #8: My favourite Villain
Now we’re talkin!! Okay, villains are always so good, so it’s a tossup between Ursula, Yzma, Cruella, Frollo, Hades and- wait- can I classify Tia Dalma as a villain? Probably not… Well, I love them all sooooo much!
But I guess it’ll be Hades. He so cooool..
Real Steel
After a premise of hard-hitting in-the-ring action of big, bulging robots, Real Steel actually came short of it. And despite the plot revolving around the dramatic reuniting of a drunk and credit-mounted father to his equally abrasive son, it just can’t wrap-up the shortcomings of the film.
But I’ll give you this, Hugh Jackman has brought this film much higher regard then it would have been without him. He actually knows how to act excited. Seriously, and considering that half of the time, he shared the screen with CGI mammoths who weren’t there when the cameras were rolling, Jackman really put life into this one. But as with the plot, it just couldn’t bring about a good feeling for film as a whole.
Short on action, on drama, and possibly everything else, Real Steel brought up a ridiculous premise, meshed it well with an emotional plot, but eventually failed to spark a winning formula.
Verdict: 5/10
I want this because reasons
EDIT: WHY IS HE SO EXPENSIVE I CANT SPEND 40 DOLLARS ON HIM.
